Notifications: in-app and email

CVViZ's notification settings — Email and In-App, with toggles for two specific events.

Where to manage

Settings → Notifications.

Two channels

CVViZ ships two notification channels, each a top-level toggle:

  • Email Notifications — on/off.
  • In-App Notifications — on/off.

When a channel is on, the per-event toggles below it become active.

Two event types per channel

Each channel has the same two configurable events:

Status Change

  • Email: "Receive email notifications when candidate status changes" (toggle key).
  • In-App: "Receive in-app notifications on candidate status change" (toggle key).

New Resume Received

  • Email: "Be notified via email when resume submitted via career page" (toggle key).
  • In-App: "Be notified in-app when resume submitted via career page" (toggle key).

Setting your preferences

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications.
  2. Toggle the channel(s) you want on.
  3. Within each channel, tick the events you want notifications for.
  4. Settings save automatically (or via a Save button at the bottom of the page).

Where notifications appear

  • Email — sent from CVViZ's notification address; you'll receive these in your normal inbox.
  • In-App — surface on the bell icon in the top nav; clicking it shows a feed of recent events.

Tips

  • Turn off Email Status Change if you live in CVViZ all day — In-App is plenty.
  • Keep Email New Resume on if you don't want to miss inbound applications when away from the app.
  • Use Automations for anything CVViZ doesn't notify on natively. For example, a status-transition automation can send you an email when a candidate enters Job Offered, even if the built-in Status Change notification covers all transitions.
