Self-scheduling links for candidates

Set up self-scheduling pages so candidates pick their own interview slot. Powered by Nylas.

What self-scheduling does in CVViZ

Self-scheduling lets candidates pick their interview slot from your team's real availability. CVViZ uses the scheduling integration as the underlying scheduling engine — meeting links, calendar sync, and confirmation emails all flow through the scheduling integration.

Where to manage

Settings → Scheduling Pages.

Page header reads Scheduling Pages with the subtitle "Create and manage scheduling pages for meetings and interviews". The editor uses a third-party scheduling editor.

Creating a scheduling page

  1. Go to Settings → Scheduling Pages.
  2. Open the scheduling integration Scheduler Editor.
  3. Configure availability, meeting duration, buffer between bookings, location/meeting URL behavior, and any custom fields candidates should fill at booking.
  4. Save. CVViZ generates a public scheduling URL.

Routes you'll see

  • Public candidate URL. This is what you send to candidates.
  • Internal preview / access URL. For internal review and sharing.
  • ManagementSettings → Scheduling Pages.

What the candidate sees

  • A clean booking page driven by the scheduling integration.
  • Available slots in their detected time zone.
  • One-click booking.
  • Confirmation email with template label and title "Your booking is confirmed".

Third-party branding is hidden in the configuration, so the page reads as your team's experience rather than a third-party widget.

How it integrates with your calendar

Because the scheduling integration connects directly to your calendar (Google or Outlook), self-scheduling reflects your real free/busy times. Bookings drop into your calendar automatically once a candidate picks a slot.

Best practices

  • Set buffers in the scheduling integration editor so back-to-back bookings don't squeeze you out of prep time.
  • Limit your booking window (e.g. next 5 business days) so candidates don't book into a far-future slot you'll forget.
  • Add custom fields sparingly on the scheduling integration page — keep the booking experience fast.
  • Test the candidate experience by sharing the public URL with yourself in incognito.
