Connect Twilio for SMS and browser calling
Save an available Twilio connection, understand voice prerequisites, and inspect communication results.
Connect your Twilio account through the communication integration when the feature is available. SMS sending and browser calling have separate prerequisites.
Before you start
You need access to Settings β Integrations & Tools β Integrations, an enabled Twilio feature and a Twilio account/number appropriate for the communication you intend to send. Ask the account's administrator for the connection details through your organization's approved process.
Enter credentials only in the integration form. Never include the Auth Token in support messages, screenshots or a candidate record. See Twilio's credential-safety guidance.
Save the connection
Find the Twilio card and choose Connect.
In Twilio Configuration, enter Twilio SID, Auth Token and Twilio Number. Use the number in international format with its country code.
If browser calling is configured for your account, enter the applicable TwiML App SID (for browser calling).
Select Save and confirm the connection state and phone number shown.
Browser calling needs separate voice configuration. If SMS is connected but calling is unavailable, ask your administrator or support to review the voice setup.
The connection applies to the signed-in userβs communication settings.
Send an SMS
Open the intended candidate's available SMS action.
Verify the candidate's number and that your organization permits this communication.
Enter the message and review the displayed length limit. The current message box accepts up to 256 characters.
Select Send once and inspect the result before trying again.
Check communication history and Twilio message logs for delivery status or errors. Follow Twilioβs account and destination requirements and your organizationβs consent process.
Use browser calling
Open the candidateβs call action, verify the number, allow microphone access and check your audio devices. Outbound browser calling does not enable inbound calls.
Change or remove a connection
Use Edit and re-enter the required configuration to update it; saved credentials are not returned for display. Use Remove and confirm when the connection should no longer be used. This removes the CVViZ connection, not the Twilio account or purchased number.
Troubleshooting and charges
For invalid-field errors, check that each value belongs in the correct field. For provider failures, inspect the Twilio account's message/call logs and restrictions. For voice-unavailable errors, review the separate calling setup. Do not repeatedly resend while the outcome is uncertain.
Review Twilio usage charges before sending at scale.
Contact CVViZ support with the action, masked number, error and time/timezone. Keep account credentials private.
