Understand People Search and AI Sourcing

Choose between external sourcing, existing candidates, and job-based or standalone searches.

CVViZ offers external sourcing and internal-database searches through the workflows enabled for your workspace.

People Search

People Search finds external profiles. Searches and contact reveals are separate actions with separate credit balances. Finding a profile does not automatically add it to a job or contact the person.

Open the existing job-based People Search experience from a job where available. In a job using AI Sourcing, Previous People Search results returns eligible users to earlier results, which are separate from new AI Sourcing searches.

AI Sourcing

AI Sourcing requires workspace enablement and the relevant permissions. Ask your administrator if it is unavailable.

The workspace provides Search, Recent searches, and, in standalone AI Sourcing, Shortlists. Depending on enabled sources, you may see:

  • PeopleSearch: external profiles using PeopleSearch search credits.

  • Internal database: CVViZ candidates you are permitted to access; no provider search credits.

  • GitHub: public developer leads where enabled; source quotas apply.

  • Web discovery: indexed professional-profile leads where enabled; source quotas apply.

Check public-profile details before assessing a candidate; missing information is not confirmed evidence.

Choose a workflow

  • Specific role: open the job's AI Sourcing experience, review criteria, and add selected candidates to that job.

  • Future talent pool: use standalone AI Sourcing and save promising profiles to a shortlist.

  • Existing candidates: choose Internal database and use available filters.

  • Earlier work: use People Search or Previous People Search results where shown.

Credits

Reviewing criteria does not spend source search credits. PeopleSearch uses credits for returned profiles. Reopening saved AI Sourcing results uses no additional search credits; fetching another page or starting another search can.

Contact reveal is separate. Review the displayed cost before confirming a reveal or contact import. Saving to a shortlist does not reveal contacts.
