Filter sourced profiles by skills, title, experience, and company

Use current People Search criteria, understand total experience, and review costs before running a search.

Use job-based People Search filters to find external profiles, including earlier results available to eligible users. For new AI Sourcing criteria, use Search, shortlist, and manage AI Sourcing credits. Use Candidate Database search for people already saved in CVViZ.

Open and review search criteria

  1. Open a job and choose Add candidates β†’ AI Sourcing β†’ Recent searches β†’ Previous People Search results, where shown. If your workspace offers a direct People Search entry, use that instead. You need People Search viewing access for earlier results and an enabled allowance to run new searches. Ask your administrator if the entry is missing.

  2. Open Filters to show Search criteria if the panel is not already visible. Review any job-derived or previously saved values before using them.

  3. Set the main criteria below, then add More filters only when they materially narrow the search.

  4. Review the query summary and credit information. Select Search people when ready. Choose Done to close the panel without searching.

Use the main criteria

  • Current job titles: search the roles people currently hold. Include reasonable alternate titles if a narrow title returns too few profiles.

  • Target skills: enter the relevant skills. Any (OR) can match one of them; All (AND) requires every selected skill and can sharply reduce results.

  • Experience range: set a minimum, maximum, or both in whole years. This filters total professional experience. Check work history and assessments for role-relevant experience.

  • Location: enter a city. Open More filters for Location radius and its unit, or the Location category for Country. Check whether the radius uses miles or kilometres.

  • Company industry: open More filters to narrow by the current employer’s industry. Verify the person’s domain expertise in their profile.

Use More filters carefully

The current category panels are Education, Professional profile, Location, Company, and Company finance. Examples include Current Employer, Degree, Country, Company Name, Company Domain, and company size or funding fields. Use each field’s explanation to choose suitable values.

Choose Current Employer when current employment matters. Company fields describe the employer. Open profiles to verify current location, skills, and other key details.

Reuse criteria and results

Saved criteria reuse a setup; saved results show previously retrieved profiles. After changing criteria, select Search people to update results and check the query summary.

A new search, Run again, or another requested results page can use search credits. Revealing new contact details uses a separate contact allowance. Tag filtering on loaded profiles is local to those results and does not use search credits. See People Search overview before importing or revealing contacts.

Troubleshooting

  • No profiles: broaden titles, remove unnecessary company conditions, use Any for skills where appropriate, or widen location. Change one condition at a time.

  • Unexpected experience: distinguish total years from role-relevant years and inspect individual work history.

  • Search unavailable: read the displayed allowance/access message. Viewing earlier results and requesting new results have different requirements.
