Understand Outreach sequences and cadence
Plan emails and follow-ups, sending windows, replies, suppression, and credit usage.
An Outreach sequence contains the audience, messages, sender, and sending schedule. Its cadence is the timing and purpose of those messages.
Outreach requires workspace enablement and relevant permissions. Available follow-ups, senders, and reply capture depend on your account.
What a sequence contains
Prepare a first email and up to two follow-ups where enabled. Choose follow-up conditions and delays, then use Review & start to launch.
Set the sender, sending days, time zone, and start/end times. Follow-up delays count MondayβFriday business days. Sending windows control when scheduled emails can be sent.
Plan a useful cadence
Introduction: explain relevance and ask one clear question.
Follow-up: add useful information instead of repeating the first message.
Final follow-up: make it easy to respond or decline.
Give recipients time to respond. Review wording, recipients, conditions, and schedule together before starting.
Replies, suppression, and credits
Where reply capture and follow-ups are enabled, matched replies appear in Outreach and stop remaining follow-ups for that enrollment. If capture is unavailable, the interface explains where replies go and that they cannot automatically stop follow-ups. Check before launch.
Opt-outs, do-not-contact settings, hard bounces, and complaints can block sending. Review excluded recipients before launch.
Outreach email credits are separate from PeopleSearch credits. Where Outreach credits are enabled, one credit is used when an email is accepted for sending; sequence emails, follow-ups, and recruiter replies each use a credit. Check the balance and daily sending limit in settings.
After launch
Pause holds future sending; Resume continues after you review the schedule. Emails already being sent can still arrive. Archive stops the remaining sequence while keeping history and replies. Restoring returns it as paused and does not restart canceled recipient emails.
Other campaign features
Outreach is separate from recruitment Ad Campaigns and the retired Email Campaigns feature.
