Create and reuse AI evaluation templates

Save assessment weightages and instructions, then reuse them when evaluating candidates for a job.

AI evaluation templates store the weightages and instructions used to assess resumes against a job. They are separate from interview scorecards, which interviewers complete after a conversation.

Before you start

You need access to the job and candidates, evaluation permission, and customized evaluation for your workspace. Check the Advanced evaluation availability and credit balance in the evaluation flow. Ask your administrator about disabled actions or upgrade messages.

Create a template from an evaluation

  1. Open the job’s candidate list, select the intended candidates, and choose Evaluate. Review the selection count.

  2. Choose Advanced evaluation when available, then Customize evaluation.

  3. Set the weightages for required and preferred skills, professional experience, domain expertise, job stability, education, certifications, and notable achievements. Benchmark alignment is available when the job has benchmark data. Use whole percentages from 0 to 100 that total exactly 100%.

  4. Add relevant Custom Instructions. Keep instructions focused on the role and the evidence in the resume.

  5. Select Save this as Template. Enter a Template Name and Template Description. Use a unique, descriptive name.

  6. Choose Make this template public only if you intend broader sharing. Keep personal and confidential information out of shared templates.

  7. Select Save and evaluate to save the template and start evaluation for the displayed candidates.

Reuse a saved template

  1. Start another job candidate evaluation and choose Use a template.

  2. Search by template name or description. Use All templates, System templates, or My templates and the benchmark-weighting filter as needed.

  3. Select a template to inspect its weightages and guidance in the details panel.

  4. Check the selected candidate count, then select Start evaluation for….

Library access and troubleshooting

  • If your workspace has an Evaluation Templates library, use New Template to save a template without starting an evaluation. Enter its name, description, weightages, and instructions.

  • Total is not 100%: rebalance the percentages before saving or starting.

  • Name already exists: choose a different name. Names are checked within the workspace.

  • No templates found: clear the search and filters. Use Retry if loading fails.

  • A template does not change interview feedback: use the job’s Interview Scorecard for human reviewer criteria.
