Create departments to group jobs under consistent names such as Engineering, Sales, or Operations. A department can have a description, a company association, and a default setting.

Before you start

Open Settings β†’ Recruitment Setup β†’ Departments. You need permission to manage departments to add, edit, or delete them. If those actions are missing, ask your administrator to check your role.

Add a department

  1. Choose Add Department.

  2. Enter the Department Name.

  3. Add a description if it will help your team.

  4. In a child-company setup, choose the company offered by the form.

  5. Select the default option if this should be the default department for that company.

  6. Save and check the result in the department list.

Use a name that is distinct from the departments already present. Keep locations and job seniority in their dedicated job fields.

Find and review departments

Search by name or description. Where available, filter by company or default status. The list shows the department, any description, its default indicator, and the company when the multi-company context requires it.

Edit or remove a department

Use the row’s edit action to change its details. Review the company and default setting before saving.

To remove a department, use Delete department and review the confirmation. Check the jobs using that department first. If a change fails, read the message and use Retry or refresh the list when offered; contact support if the issue persists.

Departments and other workflows

Use hiring pipelines for candidate stages, job approvals for sign-off, and user access settings for recruiter permissions.
