Manage candidate auto-evaluation

Enable or disable automatic evaluation and understand job context, availability, and manual reassessment.

Auto-evaluation assesses eligible new job candidates against job requirements after resume processing. Availability depends on your workspace’s evaluation access and usage.

Change the setting

  1. Open Settings β†’ System β†’ Automations. You need access to Automations.

  2. Select the Auto-evaluation tab.

  3. Change Enable auto-evaluation. The page shows Unsaved until you save.

  4. Select Save changes and wait for the confirmation. Use Discard changes to return to the saved setting.

Understand the result

Eligible new job candidates can enter automatic evaluation after resume processing. Evaluation is job-specific: candidates without a job context do not have a role to match against. Results can appear as an Overall grade and Skills match, with a detailed assessment when Advanced evaluation is available.

Advanced evaluation depends on entitlement and usage availability. Supported evaluation flows may fall back to Basic evaluation when Advanced evaluation is unavailable for usage reasons. Check the result type in Match & fit to see which assessment details are available.

Configure the job and reassess when needed

  • Keep the job description, Required and Nice to have skills, qualifications, and experience requirements accurate. These define the role being assessed.

  • Use the job’s Automation settings for its prescreening criteria and status outcomes. Those rules are separate from this on/off setting.

  • For a deliberate assessment or reassessment, open the job’s candidate list and use the available evaluation action on the intended candidates. Review the candidate count, evaluation type, setup, and any credit information before starting.

  • Where customized evaluation is enabled, AI evaluation templates let you choose weightages and instructions for that evaluation. Select the template when starting a customized evaluation.

  • The job’s Benchmark Resume setup and the Interview Scorecard are separate controls. Configure benchmarks for the evaluation setup and the scorecard for interviewer feedback.

Check resumes and evaluation access

For manual evaluation, select the intended candidates and choose Evaluate. If a resume is missing, use Open Resume & Files to upload it, or remove that candidate from the selection before continuing.

Basic evaluation requires no Advanced credits. To use Advanced evaluation, check the current balance for the number of selected candidates. Unlimited access is shown when included. If the balance is unavailable, choose Check credits. If credits are insufficient or the subscription has expired, follow the displayed action or choose Basic evaluation.

Troubleshooting

  • Settings are unavailable: use Retry and wait for the saved setting to load.

  • A change will not save: retry and wait for All changes saved. Ask an administrator to check Automations access and the workspace subscription if the problem persists.

  • A candidate has no result: confirm the job context and resume-processing state. Use manual evaluation to assess existing candidates.

  • A result looks wrong: review the resume and job requirements, distinguish total experience from role-relevant experience, and compare the AI evidence with human feedback before acting.
