Choose a department for a job
Use the department field offered in the jobβs details. In a workspace with child companies, check that the department belongs to the intended company.
An administrator can manage department names, descriptions, company associations, and a default department from Settings β Recruitment Setup β Departments. See the setup guide below for the steps.
Department settings and routing
Departments organize jobs. Manage recruiter access through user roles and job assignments, candidate movement through hiring pipelines, and sign-off through job approvals.
Keep the labels useful
Choose names your team recognizes and review the existing list before adding another department. Use job location and other dedicated fields for details that should remain separate from the department.
Before renaming or removing a department, check the jobs that use it and agree on the intended replacement with the people managing those jobs.
