Read the Time To Fill report

Understand elapsed days from job creation, stage counts, filters, and exports.

Use Reports โ†’ Time To Fill to measure elapsed time from job creation to each hiring stage for the selected dates. It measures cumulative time, not time spent within a stage.

Open and select the period

  1. Open the report from Reports. If it is missing, ask your administrator to check your report access.

  2. Choose the start and end dates, or one of the available 1M, 6M or 1Y presets. Read the dates shown after selecting a preset.

  3. Wait for loading to finish, or use Refresh.

  4. Review the chart together with Stage timing details.

Stage

The hiring stage reached.

Candidates reaching stage

Each candidateโ€“job pair counts once per stage, using its earliest recorded entry to that stage within the selected dates. The same person can count for multiple jobs and stages.

Average days from job creation

Average elapsed time from the jobโ€™s creation to the candidateโ€“job pairโ€™s earliest recorded entry to that stage within the selected dates, expressed in days.

For example, a job created on 1 October and a candidate reaching Interviewed on 11 October describe about ten elapsed days from job creation. This does not mean the candidate spent ten days inside Interviewed.

Do not add stage averages or subtract one stage average from another to calculate time between stages. The stages can contain different candidate and job records.

Read the summary cards

  • Average stage time: simple average of the reported average durations across the displayed stages.

  • Candidate stage entries: total candidateโ€“jobโ€“stage records across displayed stages; a candidate may appear more than once.

  • Fastest stage: displayed stage with the lowest average elapsed time from job creation.

  • Average time to join: average elapsed time from job creation until candidates reached Joined.

When a result looks wrong

  • No data: wait for loading, review the dates and confirm that stage changes were recorded.

  • Unexpected counts: compare candidate-stage entries with the candidate and job records; they are not automatically unique people across the report.

  • Long averages: inspect job creation dates and the contributing candidates. The report alone does not explain a delay.

  • Different periods: compare counts and job mix as well as averages; a small or different sample can change the result.

  • Load or export error: follow the current message and use Retry or Refresh where offered.

Export and investigate

Use Export report data and images for CSV and displayed-view image downloads. Confirm the selected dates, filters and output scope before sharing recruiting information.

For unexplained differences, contact CVViZ support with the date range, filters, measure, and a specific candidate or job reference.
