Search and filter your candidate database
Find existing candidates with text search, detailed filters, sorting, and saved views.
Search saved candidates in the Candidate Database, or use a jobβs Candidates view to search within that job. Results respect your candidate and job access.
Search existing candidates
Open the Candidate Database, or open Candidates in a particular job.
Enter at least two characters in Search candidates by name, email, role, skill, or company. Pause for the results to update, or press Enter.
For a known person, try their email address. For a role or skill, start with a distinctive keyword. The information icon beside search explains supported full-text operators, including quoted phrases and required words.
Use the search fieldβs clear control to remove the text restriction. Existing filters can still narrow the results.
Apply detailed filters
Select Filters. The available groups and fields depend on list context and feature access. Filter changes update the list; review the active filters before a bulk action.
In a jobβs Candidates view, adjust both ends of Skill Match to choose a range between 0% and 100%. The active filter chip shows the same percentages, and reopening Filters restores your selection. Remove its chip to clear the range, or choose Clear all to remove all active filters.
Basic Filters: available fields include Status, Source, Tags, and job or recruiter/vendor filters. Grade and Skills match are useful in a job context where evaluation results exist.
Advanced Filters: search work history using Job Titles and Company Name, narrow by Min Experience and Max Experience, or use available skills, qualifications, uploaded date, worked-in-city, salary, and job-change-frequency fields.
Pre-Screening Questions: available in a job context for filtering recorded answers.
Visa Details: use the available country, type, and validity fields when relevant to the role.
Experience filters use stored total experience. Open the profile and assessment to check role relevance and current employment.
An βall selectedβ checkbox requires every selected value. Broaden these conditions if results are too narrow.
Sort, display, and save a view
Use the sort menu to choose Recently added, Oldest first, or a name order. Job views can also offer stage-waiting time, grade, and skill-match orders. The job default is Stage, then grade.
Where Saved views is enabled, apply your filters, sort, or column preferences, open Saved views, and choose Save current. Give the view a name. Share with team is available only when your workspace allows it. The view displays candidates matching its settings when opened.
Troubleshooting
No results: clear the text search and narrow filters one at a time. Check whether you are in a single job rather than the database.
Grade filtering returns nothing: confirm that evaluation results exist for the intended job.
Advanced filters are disabled: read the displayed availability or parsing-credit message and ask your administrator to review access.
You expected a person sourced externally: search results in People Search are not automatically saved candidates. Confirm the import completed.
Next steps
Open a candidate profile to inspect the evidence, then use bulk actions for the selected group. For external profiles, see sourcing search filters.
