Set up a custom career page domain

Connect a branded career-page address and understand how it differs from Multi-Domain Access.

A custom career page domain gives candidates a branded address such as https://careers.example.com. In Billing, this is Custom Career Page Domain or CNAME.

Before you start

You need Billing access, an active custom career page domain allowance with mapping capacity, and access to update your company’s DNS records.

Multi-Domain Access (MDA) allows team access from additional email domains. It is separate from career-page domains and email-sending verification.

Add the career page mapping

  1. Open Settings β†’ Billing and find the custom career page domain add-on.

  2. Add the Custom domain, such as https://careers.example.com.

  3. Check Mapped career page. Your current CVViZ career page is filled in automatically. To use a different page, select Edit mapped career page and enter its URL.

  4. Select Add mapping and open the mapping's DNS setup instructions.

  5. Ask your DNS administrator to add the displayed records exactly. Complete additional certificate-record instructions if shown.

  6. Follow the verification and activation status in CVViZ. Wait for verification and secure activation before announcing the address.

  7. Open the custom address and check the expected page and job links.

Check the original address

The hosted CVViZ page remains available from Settings β†’ Recruitment Setup β†’ Career Page. Use its direct link to confirm the mapping destination.

Troubleshooting

  • No add-on or capacity: ask a billing administrator to check active allowances.

  • Verification pending: compare DNS records with the exact values shown. DNS changes can take time to appear.

  • Wrong page: check the saved destination.

  • Secure activation incomplete: review status and certificate instructions. Contact support with the domain and status; do not send DNS account passwords.
