Customize a job’s application form
Set resume and screening-question requirements, preview the candidate journey, and save the job application form.
Choose whether applicants must upload a resume and whether the job’s pre-screening questions appear during application. Review the candidate-facing preview before saving the job.
Before you start
You need access to edit the intended job. Open its editor and choose Job Application. Decide which information candidates must provide, and prepare any job-specific questions using the screening-question library or the controls offered here.
Configure the application
Under the application settings, choose Resume is mandatory if a resume is required.
Review Show resume upload field. Requiring a resume automatically enables this field and prevents you from hiding it while the requirement remains on. To hide resume upload, first remove the mandatory requirement.
Choose Include pre-screening questions in application form if the questions assigned to this job should appear during application. Turning it off leaves the questions on the job but removes them from this form; use a separate screening link where that workflow is available.
Review the job’s assigned questions, their order, type, options, and required settings. Add or change questions using the available question controls.
Open Application Form Preview and move through its steps. Check the resume step, applicant details, questions, and confirmation as a candidate would.
Save the section with the job editor’s save action. Reopen the saved configuration to confirm the choices.
Applicants can upload PDF, DOC, or DOCX files smaller than 2 MB. Recruiter and benchmark uploads have separate limits.
Use screening questions to collect additional information. Required questions must be answered; configure candidate progression separately in job automation.
Check the public result
To review the public form, the job must be approved, In Progress, and available through a published application link. Open that link and check the saved settings.
Consequences of changes
Review changes before sharing the application link, especially new mandatory fields or a removed upload step. Existing applications are retained without asking applicants to complete them again.
If a field or question is missing
Confirm the correct job, the saved checkbox values, and the assigned question list. Check that question inclusion is enabled and review the preview again. If the job page cannot open, investigate publication and approval separately. Contact support with the job and specific form discrepancy if it remains unresolved.
