Edit, clone, change status, or permanently archive a job
Manage job details, cloning and status changes, and understand the permanent consequences of Archive Job.
Manage a job from the actions menu on its card in Jobs.
Archive Job is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes the job from active use, deletes its recruiting configuration, and removes candidates originally created for it from active use. Candidates linked from another job may remain in the database. The archived jobβs files and data become unavailable. To stop or pause hiring, change the jobβs status instead.
Before you start
You need permission for the action. Availability also depends on job status, approvals, and plan limits. Ask your administrator if a control is missing or disabled.
Edit a job
In Jobs, find the job and open its more actions menu.
Select Edit Job.
Open the section you need and make your changes.
Click Save & Continue, or Save & Finish on the final section. Drafts show draft-specific save or submission actions.
Wait for the save confirmation before leaving the editor. Review Get More Applicants separately if your change affects where the job should be published.
Clone a job
Open the source job's more actions menu and choose Clone Job.
Review the copied job details, then update the title, location, requirements, and other fields for the new role.
Click Create job when the required details are complete, then review the remaining setup sections.
Cloning creates a separate job. Review its settings and candidates before using it. Clone Job is unavailable for drafts and some restricted jobs.
Change a job's status
In Jobs, use the job's status control, or choose Change status for job from its More job actions menu.
In Update job status, choose an available status.
Add Remarks if your team needs context in the status history.
Click Update status.
Resolve pending or rejected approvals before changing status. Closed, archived, and inactive jobs can have read-only status controls.
To pause hiring, choose On Hold or Paused when available. To resume, choose In Progress, subject to approval and plan capacity.
Reopen a closed job
Find the closed job in Jobs and open its more actions menu.
Choose Reopen job when available.
Review the confirmation and optionally enter a reason, then select Reopen job.
Reopening uses one active job slot and preserves existing candidates and their stages. Public links and listings may resume with the saved publishing settings. Advertising dates stay unchanged; reopening does not create a new advertisement.
If the job changed while the dialog was open, close it, refresh the job, and try again. Permanently archived jobs cannot be reopened.
Permanently archive a job
Open the job's more actions menu and select Archive Job.
Read the Permanently archive confirmation and its list of affected data.
Type PERMANENTLY ARCHIVE in the confirmation field.
Click Permanently archive job.
Pending-approval jobs cannot be archived from this flow. Bulk archiving permanently archives every selected job.
Can I reopen an archived job?
Permanently archived jobs cannot be restored from the Jobs list. Changing status does not recover removed data. For a similar role, use Clone Job where available or create a new job.
If an action fails
Edit or Clone is disabled: check whether the job is a draft, closed, archived, inactive, or otherwise restricted; confirm your role with an administrator.
Status cannot be changed: review the approval state and current job status. Do not use permanent archiving as a workaround.
Job limit reached: ask your administrator to review active-job usage and Billing. Review the data loss before archiving any job.
Save or archive error: keep the job open, record the error and job name, and contact support if retrying does not resolve it.
