The onboarding tour explained

What the onboarding tour does

The first time an admin signs in to CVViZ, you land on the onboarding tour — a guided 7-step setup. Each step is a card with a title, an icon, an action button, and (where available) a YouTube walkthrough video.

You can skip any step you're not ready for and come back later. Skipped steps stay visible with a Skipped badge until you complete them. The Onboarding section is admin-only.

1. Setup Company Profile

Click Setup Company Profile to open the Company Profile form. Fill in basic info, address, default currency, working hours, and social media. Full walkthrough: Completing your company profile.

2. Update User Profile

Click Update User Profile to set your personal profile (photo, name, contact info, working hours). Your profile photo shows on the candidate timeline whenever you take an action.

3. Add Roles

Click Add Roles to open the User Roles screen. Build the custom roles your team will use (Recruiter, Hiring Manager, Sourcer — whatever fits your org). Roles are entirely user-defined; CVViZ doesn't yet include preset ones. Full walkthrough: Inviting your team and roles overview.

4. Setup Career Page

Click Setup Career Page to configure the public-facing page candidates land on when applying.

5. Invite Team Members

Click Invite Team Members to open the Users screen. Invite recruiters, hiring managers, and stakeholders. Each gets an email invite to set up their account.

6. Add a Job

Click Add a Job to open the Add Job form. Fill in the basics: title, code, type, category, employer type, industry, location, experience, salary, skills, and description.

7. Configure Job Details

After the job is created, finish configuring it. The form has tabs:

• Details — basic job info.
• Benchmark Data — upload sample resumes that represent your ideal candidate.
• Job Application — application form and screening questions.
• Interview Scorecard — evaluation template for this role.
• Job Boards — distribution to external boards.
• Share — social media sharing.

Skipping a step

Click Skip in the top-right of any card. The card switches to a Skipped state. You can come back any time and complete it.

Help videos

Steps that have an associated YouTube walkthrough show a red YouTube icon next to the Skip button — click to open the video in a new tab.

Tracking completion

Completion is stored against your account. Once a step is completed, the card shows a green Completed badge.

Tour for non-admin users

The full 7-step tour is admin-only. Recruiters and other users see a streamlined experience focused on their role.

Where to find onboarding later

The dashboard includes a Complete Onboarding widget that surfaces any uncompleted steps until you finish them. You can also open the onboarding tour any time.
