Updating your payment method

Change cards, add a backup card, switch to invoiced billing.

CVViZ doesn't store or display a saved payment method in the app β€” there's no card-on-file UI. Payments are collected through Razorpay at the moment of checkout, and recurring charges run against the mandate Razorpay set up when you subscribed. This article explains what that means in practice and how to change the card you're billed on.

What CVViZ does not have

  • No "Payment Methods" section in Settings β†’ Billing.
  • No saved card list, no "Update card" / "Set as default" buttons.
  • No way to upload bank details for ACH or wire transfer.

Everything below describes the actual flow.

One-time payments (top-ups, add-ons, prorated upgrades)

For any single charge β€” adding more Users / Resumes / Jobs, buying credits, adding an add-on, or a prorated mid-cycle upgrade β€” CVViZ opens the Razorpay checkout each time. You enter card / UPI / net-banking details there for that payment only; nothing is retained on the CVViZ side.

To "use a different card", just enter the new details in the Razorpay popup the next time you check out.

Recurring subscriptions (auto-renewal)

If you opted in to auto-renewal during checkout, Razorpay set up a subscription mandate on the card you used. That mandate is what gets charged when the cycle renews β€” CVViZ doesn't pick the card, Razorpay does, against the mandate it holds.

To change the card that gets billed for renewals, you have to break the existing mandate and create a new one:

  1. Open Settings β†’ Billing and look for the auto-renewal banner on the Plan tab. It reads:"Your subscription will renew automatically at the end of the current cycle. You can cancel auto-renew to stop future renewals."
  2. Click Cancel. Confirm Cancel auto-renew? β†’ Yes. You'll see "Auto-renew canceled. It will stop at period end."
  3. Your current plan stays active until the existing cycle ends β€” nothing is interrupted.
  4. Before the cycle ends (or after, if you're OK with a brief gap), go through the upgrade / re-subscribe flow:
    • Click Upgrade Plan (or Increase Limit on a row) to open the upgrade modal.
    • Choose the same plan and quantity, leave auto-renewal enabled.
    • In the Razorpay popup, enter the new card. Razorpay creates a fresh mandate against it.

From the next cycle onward, renewals run against the new card.

Razorpay-side options

Some Razorpay actions live in the email Razorpay sends after each charge β€” for instance, you can use the link in those emails to update saved card details that Razorpay holds on your behalf. CVViZ has no visibility into that β€” if Razorpay's side gets stuck, contact support@razorpay.com directly.

Payment methods supported

What you can pay with depends on your country and what Razorpay surfaces for your account:

  • Cards (credit / debit / international cards Razorpay supports for your region).
  • UPI (India).
  • Net banking (India).
  • Wallets, where Razorpay enables them.

Not supported: ACH, SEPA, paper cheque, or wire transfer through the in-app flow.

Updating your billing address / company info

What's on your invoice (company name, address, GST number) is set in the Update Company Information dialog that the upgrade flow shows when billing info is incomplete, and can be opened from the same modal at checkout time. Required fields are:

  • Company Name
  • Admin Email (read-only)
  • Country, State, City, Zip Code, Street Address
  • Phone Number
  • GST Number β€” required when Country is set to India.

Saved company info is reused for all future invoices.
