Sharing jobs on social media and via referral links

Share jobs to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and email; set up the employee referral portal.

Sharing a job

From the job edit form, the Job Boards tab includes a Share Job section described as "Send tracked job links to social channels, colleagues, or vendor partners."

Built-in share buttons

The Share section gives you four one-click destinations using share buttons:

  • LinkedIn
  • Twitter
  • Facebook
  • Email

Each share opens a pre-formatted post or message with the job link. The link includes a ?source= query parameter so the source channel is captured for reporting.

The shareable link looks like:

https://<your-careers-domain>/job_<jobid>_<normalized-title>?source=<channel>

You can copy this link directly to use anywhere β€” Slack, internal email, vendor partner portals.

Tracking which share works

Applications coming in through a tracked link inherit the source tag. The Resume Upload Source dashboard widget and the corresponding report break down volume per source so you can tell which channels actually convert.

Referral Portal

For employee referrals, CVViZ has a separate Referral Portal feature at Settings β†’ Referral Portal β€” "Enable employees to refer candidates through a dedicated portal".

Configuration

  • Enabled β€” toggle to turn the portal on or off.
  • Subdomain β€” the URL where employees access the portal (e.g. refer.yourcompany.com).
  • Access Type β€” controls who can sign in:
    • Company domain β€” anyone with an email at your company domain.
    • Other access types per your config.
  • Allowed Domains β€” a whitelist of email domains permitted to access (useful for multi-domain orgs).
  • Allowed Emails β€” explicit whitelist of email addresses.
  • Require Approval β€” if on, new signups need admin approval before they can refer.
  • Allow External Referrers β€” if on, people outside your company domain can also refer (defaults to on).

How employees use it

  1. Employee logs into the referral portal with their work email.
  2. They browse open jobs.
  3. They submit a candidate's contact info or share a referral link.
  4. Anyone applying via that referral is tagged with the employee's name as the source.

What's not included

The portal handles access control, signup approval, and referral tracking β€” but does not manage referral bonuses or payout logic. If you reward referrals, track that in your HR / payroll system using CVViZ's referral source data as input.

Tips

  • If you have offices in multiple geographies, enable Allowed Domains with all your office email domains.
  • Use Require Approval at first, then switch off once your team trusts the signup volume.
